- Medical comorbidities (3)
- malignancies
- cardiac failure, active SLE
- IVDU
- TB
- nephrotic syndrome
- DM with nephropathy
- thalassemia major / intermedia
- post splenectomy
- Obesity
- BMI ≥ 40kg/m2 (2)
- BMI 30-39 kg/m2 (1)
- Family history of VTE (1)
- Low risk thrombophilia (1)
- Factor V Leiden
- High FVIII
- Current smoker ≥ 10/day (1)
- Twin / multiple pregnancy (1)
Interpretation of scoring (for antenatal only)
- score ≥ 4 : consider thromboprophylaxis from 1st trimester until post delivery
- score 3 : consider prophylaxis from 28 weeks until 3 weeks postnatal
